Autism is Hard

Autism is hard.⁣
Collin had a small meltdown this morning. A big or small meltdown can completely throw off their routine.⁣
Or it could be an unexpected change in plans. With Collin, he usually becomes increasingly agitated or emotional.⁣
The older Collin gets older (onset of puberty) he has become more emotional and lets the little things get to him like who went to the bathroom first.⁣
We end up tiptoeing around what might make Collin anxious, uneasy. ⁣
Autism is hard on our family most days but we still make the best of it.⁣
He’s our son, ⁣
He’s a brother, ⁣
And we do anything for him.❤

Hello!! I'm Deana. I'm a mom to two amazing twin boys, Collin, who was diagnosed with Autism at age 2, and Jonah, who was recently diagnosed with ADHD. We live in Florida and love spending time outdoors. When we are not outdoors, I'm homeschooling, crafting and blogging, and raising awareness on Autism.
